Nina Simone — 'See-Line Woman' (Mochakk Mix)

Mochakk takes on a monumental task: reinterpreting Nina Simone’s 1964 classic without washing away its raw, hypnotic soul.

Released via Verve, his mix breathes fresh, high-voltage energy into the original, anchoring Simone’s unmistakable, rhythmic vocal chants over a driving, rolling bassline and crisp, layered percussion.

Rather than overloading the track with generic mainstage tropes, the Brazilian producer leans into dynamic arrangements and playful drum programming. The result is an infectious, high-energy house tool that captures the momentum of contemporary dance floors while fully honoring the timeless character of the original composition. A potent bridge between afro-infused house grooves and jazz heritage.
