Oliver Heldens & Will Clarke transform a disco classic into a peak-time warehouse weapon on 'Lost In Music'

When two heavyweights from distinct corners of electronic music align on a dancefloor holy grail, the stakes are exceptionally high.

On Lost In Music, Dutch powerhouse Oliver Heldens and UK techno/house favorite Will Clarke take on Sister Sledge’s 1979 Nile Rodgers-produced anthem, reimagining its disco euphoria for contemporary peak-time raves.

Released via Charlotte de Witte’s Époque imprint—a label dedicated to rediscovering and renewing dance classics—the collaboration bridges raw techno energy with melodic soul. The rework strips back the original's sunny disco texture in favor of an assertive, driving electro-house beat, subtly processing Joni Sledge's iconic vocals while echoing Rodgers' choppy guitar riffs through distorted synth lines.

The track's centerpiece is a monster breakdown that lets the original's vocal breath before unleashing a soaring build and a heavy-hitting drop anchored by rich piano chords and Will Clarke’s signature warehouse drive. The result is a high-energy crossover tool that captures pure dancefloor catharsis while fully respecting its legendary roots.
