Review: Rework, Yulia Niko – Just Just (on Get Physical)

Yulia Niko continues her impressive run in 2025 with a sleek, emotionally rich update of an underground gem: Just Just, a reimagining of Rework’s 2003 cult classic You’re So Just Just.

Released as a teaser for her upcoming Body Language Vol. 26 compilation on Get Physical, the track is a confident blend of old and new — paying tribute to the minimal wave roots of the original while pulling it firmly into the now.

True to Yulia Niko’s signature style, Just Just is deep, hypnotic, and subtly emotive. The arrangement is lean but textured — built around warm bass pulses, crisp percussion, and ghostlike synths that ebb and flow without ever overreaching. Rework’s icy touch is still there, but Yulia breathes fresh life into the track with her nuanced sense of space and mood. The result is both functional and intimate: a late-night cut that DJs will reach for, and listeners will get lost in.

The vocals are used sparingly but effectively, adding just enough nostalgia without weighing things down. It’s a careful balancing act, and one that speaks to both artists' restraint and vision.

As part of the Body Language series — known for spotlighting boundary-pushing house and techno — Just Just sets a high bar for what’s to come. With more singles from the compilation already circulating, Yulia Niko is clearly not just curating a mix, but shaping a narrative — one that looks backward with respect and forward with intent.

Whether you’re a longtime Rework fan or new to the original, Just Just is worth your time. It’s a slow burner with staying power — and a strong reminder of why Yulia Niko remains one of the most compelling voices in the scene today.
